We rate Chocolate Chili at 4 out of 5 on the heat scale and a 6 out of 5 on flavor. This blend is one of those rare instances where you get true great flavors along with a deep chili heat. We love this mix on meats, in chiles and sauces. A pinch is great in hot chocolate! Chocolate Chili is a wonderful blend of Latin American flavors with maple sugar giving it a Vermont twist.

A way to change your life
While I am reviewing one particular spice, I would say this holds true for all of them I ordered. About three months ago, I made a conscious choice to cook more healthily and regularly. The spice mixtures make it so easy to cook with amazing flavors and not add calories or have to search for mixtures yourself. I have been a long time buyer and will continue to be in the future.

A favorite in this house
This is one of our top 5 favorites of The Teeny Tiny Spices. Makes the best flavor for roasted nuts!

Pinto beans will never to the same. Oh so good.
I added some of this to the water my organic sprouted pinto beans were cooking in. It gave them the most awesome flavor. This stuff rocks!

Wonderful in Eggs or Chili
In particular, just a pinch of this beaten with two large eggs absolutely transforms an omelet!

Brilliant BBQ sauce
Everyone wants to know "what's in that sauce" ? We have our own blend of ingredients (catsup/ketchup, molasses, extra vinegar + secrets) with Chocolate Chili being the "star" . May use in pot of chili this winter. First tin was gift...have just ordered and received 2 more. Plus trying new blends. Thanks.

Perfect for Mexican hot chocolate
I really like this for Mexican hot chocolate. Don't tell the Teeny Tiny Spice Co., but I grind it until it is very fine and then put a pinch in my hot chocolate. Oh, yum!

Run don't walk
Seriously, this is one of the best spices I have on my shelf! Introduced to it in a coffee drink in Tucson, bought a can to take home with me to Wisconsin. Now enjoyed easy to order website to order more, including gifts for family & friends. Excellent on chicken, in Mole' if you do Mexican, and yep, coffee with honey & cream!

Uniquely delicious.
I have to say I love both the idea and the execution of this blend. My only quibble would be that the 4 star heat rating is far from justified. it just isn't that hot, and I wouldn't want it to be for sweet applications (peanut butter baked goods especially benefit).

Great for chile or as a rub
We started using this as a rub on chicken and then discovered it was really great in chile. The flavors are fantastic and it saves having to buy all those indvidual spices that just get stale in your pantry.
