A journey of a thousand spices begins with a single curry
My first dish cooked from the collection was a slow cooked west African curry with beans, potatoes, tomatoes, pumpkin, onions, and garlic and it was amazing! Well done!

How to spend a year experimenting with spices
I bought the whole collection for my wife for Christmas 2016, and we've spent the past five or six months exploring the wonderful spice mixes this set provides. This may have been the best gift I've given her since...um...anyway, it's a fantastic collection and I can't recommend it highly enough.

The best herb and spice collection on the planet!
I bought the complete set of spices in Nov '14, and have really enjoyed trying many new recipes from around the world. this month (Sep '15) I was down to ten tins, some nearly empty, and I was getting anxious, when boom, a sale, and I ordered my second set of spices! Many new recipe adventures await, thank you Teeny Tiny!!!

Spicing up my life!
I was nearing the bottom of 7 teeny tiny spice blends I bought last year. I couldn't decide among all of the fabulous flavors, so I bought them all! Today I used Afghani Spice in a smoked turkey & Baba Ghanoush lasagna. To make Baba Ghanoush: Low broil 3 lbs whole eggplant (stabbed 12 x) 45 min., rotating as skin darkens & bubbles. Cool a bit, slice in half, scoop pulp out & discard skin. Add 4 TBS tahini, 2 garlic cloves mashed, juice of 1 large lemon, & 1 tsp Afghani Spice. Blend in 32 oz Ricotta Cheese (I use no fat, but if you can eat more fat then go for it), 2 eggs (yes I used the yolks). Set aside. Take 1 lb. bite sized chopped smoked turkey breast (I rubbed Afghani Spice under the skin before smoking). Chop 1 large or 2 medium sweet onions & saute in olive oil with 2 TBS Afghani Spice, juice of 1 large lemon & chopped turkey until onions are clear & it smells so good. Prepare lasagna per pkg directions. Then layer in 13" x 9" dish; Baba Ghanoush mixture on bottom, lasagna noodles, Baba Ghanoush, turkey onion mixture & a soft cheese (I use Ole Quesadilla Cheese that tastes like a mild gouda but is a lot cheaper). Repeat layers ending with Baba Ghanoush on top. Sprinkle a light layer of bread crumbs & bake 30 min. @ 375 deg., then put 8 oz of fresh shaved Parmesan cheese on top and continue baking until the cheese is golden, about 20 min. I made this recipe up, so substitute and improvise as you wish. It was delicious, and we loved the Afghan Spice. Can't wait to try another Teeny Tiny blend!
